One of the most popular beaches is in Kamari, on the south east coast of Santorini. The famous black sand stretching out for miles and a beachfront dotted with restaurants and bars make it an attractive destination.

Perissa and Perivolos are Santorini’s best black sand beaches, well protected from the summer Aegean winds and located next to Emporio village. Beach bar and restaurant establishments, where you will find an array of water sports available, are dotted all along the expansive beach front. Perivolos is considered an extension of Santorini’s nightlife by day. Mind the rocks because at some spots the entrance to the water is slippery!

Simply named, the Red beach is one of the most beautiful beaches to be found in the Aegean Sea. Close to Akrotiri, in the south, is a small bay nestled besides soaring red lava cliffs with terracotta coloured sand that disappears into the crystal clear turquoise water. The short walk to the beach is a small effort for the reward of an amazing view.

Vlychada, with its impressive volcanic white rock walls, sculpted by nature, gives the impression of a lunar landscape. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in Santorini, ideal for those who do not like the hustle and bustle of crowded places and are interested in simply swimming and sunbathing.
