Local cheese farms produce soft, subtle and sweet Camemberts and fresh and milky cheeses with a slight tang that are perfect with locally grown grapes. Haight and Hopkins vineyards are two of several Litchfield Hills vineyards and wineries that are part of the Connecticut Wine Trail, famous for its tremendous variety of wine styles and stunning scenery.

The Hopkins family are descendants of Stephen Hopkins, who was a passenger on the Mayflower voyage in 1620. The Hopkins Farm was purchased in 1787, and a little over 200 years later in 1979, it became a vineyard and winery. Learn the secrets of pairing these locally produced wines and cheeses and taste a little of what Litchfield County has to offer.
